A New Level of Engagement in CPR Training - Laerdal Medical Introduces Little Anne® QCPR
Un nuevo nivel de participación en la capacitación en RCP - Laerdal Medical presenta Little Anne® QCPR (en Inglés)
WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY, October 18, 2017– Achieving student engagement is a fundamental challenge in any form of education – including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training. To help improve the classroom experience and learner outcomes, Laerdal Medical has launched the next generation of Little Anne®, which includes Quality-CPR (QCPR) functionality. Today, Laerdal Medical debuted the new manikin at EMS World Expo in Las Vegas, NV.
Little Anne® QCPR includes objective feedback and measurement technology to take the guesswork out of instruction. Using Bluetooth Smart technology, Little Anne® QCPR can connect with a feedback application downloaded to a smartphone or tablet. The manikin can be used with an Instructor App, which provides a performance overview and monitoring of up to six manikins at once, and a Learner App, which allows students to monitor their own individual performance. Both apps are free downloads. Little Anne® QCPR can also provide feedback via a tethered SkillGuide device.
This newly-enhanced manikin helps increase training efficiency and effectiveness, while the feedback and scoring help to increase learner engagement and confidence. Key features include:
- Real-time feedback on compressions and ventilations
- Post-event performance debrief including a score and tip for improvement
- Details on compression release, depth, and rate, ventilation volume, number of compression:ventilation cycles
Existing Little Anne manikins can be upgraded to QCPR using the Little Anne QCPR Upgrade Kit, which is a quick and simple upgrade that can be performed by the customer.
“Laerdal has been committed to developing high-quality CPR training solutions since Resusci Anne was introduced in 1960. Now, Little Anne QCPR builds on that legacy and brings exciting new “technology-based feedback” to support both CPR Instructors and lay students involved with bystander CPR training,” says David Johnson, President, Laerdal Medical, Americas.
