Improve competence and confidence through peer learning
Nursing and Midwifery Students, globally, have reported having difficulty gaining the clinical experience they need to feel competent in their clinical skills at graduation. In many settings, opportunities for hands-on experience prior to graduation is limited. Simulation, based on the principles of peer learning, is a novel approach rooted in evidence-based pedagogical principles. In a sense, it may be seen as “flipped classroom” applied to simulation.
