During the European Football Championships this year, fans will have the chance to learn basic CPR skills from some of their favorite players, before putting their newly acquired skills to the test. At get-trained.com, football fans are guided through a short training session featuring a number of well-known footballing legends.
For those attending the competition, they will also be able to come together to take part in a first-of-its-kind CPR game experience at each of the 10 fan zones in the host cities in Germany, learning vital lifesaving skills while enjoying the spirit of the competition.
To make the fan zone experience both educational and fun, our Little Anne manikins are used in conjunction with the CPR Game, QCPR Run, which provides an exciting format for learners to test their skills. This is based on the technology of our existing QCPR app. In line with the theme of the EUROs, up to four players can choose which of the final 24 competing nations they would like to represent. Game performance is based on the quality of CPR provided, with precision compressions moving the player token along the pitch.
To ensure the experience is also educational, Laerdal’s CPR scoring algorithm provides learners with an accurate score on their CPR performance, reviewing compression rate, depth, and release, as well as useful feedback that will help drive better CPR in the future.
