A research article in The Lancet found a three-fold increased probability of survival when strengthening the Chain of Survival with EMS interventions, Dispatch Assisted CPR, community CPR training, and CPR volunteers. The addition of CPR Volunteers alone gave a 24% increase in the chance of survival.
CPR volunteers with the CPRcard do better CPR. The card senses how chest compressions are done and gives feedback on rate and depth.

Troubleshooting
Is your CPRcard not responding as expected? Please see possible causes and solutions by clicking the plus icons below.
Possible cause:
The on/off button is not sufficiently pressed.
The card temperature is below 0°C.
The device is broken.
Possible solution:
Press and hold the on/off button firmly, to try to turn on the CPRcard.
If the problem persists, do not use the CPRcard on a patient.
Possible cause:
Internal error detected.
Depleted battery.
Possible solution:
Turn the card off and on again.
If the problem persists, do not use the CPRcard on a patient.
Possible cause:
The device is broken.
Possible solution:
Turn the card off and on again.
If the problem persists, do not use the CPRcard on a patient.
Possible cause:
Compression inactivity for more than 1 minute. The compression activity is more > 1 minute.
There has been an accidental activation of the on/off button.
An internal error has been detected.
Depleted battery.
Possible solution:
Do not interrupt CPR –. Continue CPR without feedback.
Possible cause:
The compressions are too shallow.
Possible solution:
Press harder and release completely between compressions.
Ensure the patient is lying on a firm surface.
Possible cause:
The liner was not removed before the CPRcard was placed on the patient.
Possible solution:
Remove the liner and place the CPRcard on the patient’s bare chest as quickly as possible to avoid interrupting CPR.
Possible cause:
The chest compressions are not detected. The compressions may be too shallow (less than< 1 cm).
The compressions may be too slow.
Possible solution:
Push harder and/or faster.
Release completely between compressions.
Possible solution:
Do not interrupt CPR – Continue CPR.
