Get Trained, Save Lives

Helping Football Fans be Potential Lifesavers

With 80% of cardiac arrests taking place in the home, initiatives to increase community CPR training and improve the quality of CPR delivered are critical to increasing survival rates. By implementing widespread programs to train CPR and providing frequent, high-quality training that is systematically measured to guide performance, we can help save more lives, together.

A Championship Training Experience

During the European Football Championships this year, fans will have the chance to learn basic CPR skills from some of their favorite players, before putting their newly acquired skills to the test. At get-trained.com, football fans are guided through a short training session featuring a number of well-known footballing legends.

For those attending the competition, they will also be able to come together to take part in a first-of-its-kind CPR game experience at each of the 10 fan zones in the host cities in Germany, learning vital lifesaving skills while enjoying the spirit of the competition.

To make the fan zone experience both educational and fun, our Little Anne manikins are used in conjunction with the CPR Game, QCPR Run, which provides an exciting format for learners to test their skills. This is based on the technology of our existing QCPR app. In line with the theme of the EUROs, up to four players can choose which of the final 24 competing nations they would like to represent. Game performance is based on the quality of CPR provided, with precision compressions moving the player token along the pitch.

To ensure the experience is also educational, Laerdal’s CPR scoring algorithm provides learners with an accurate score on their CPR performance, reviewing compression rate, depth, and release, as well as useful feedback that will help drive better CPR in the future.

QCPR App

Helping you recreate the fan zone experience

For those who aren't going to be attending the competition in Germany, it's still possible to recreate the spirit of the tournament and host a local fan zone experience of your own.

If you already have Laerdal's QCPR app and an app-compatible Little Anne manikin, you can create this experience straight away. All you need to do is download the QCPR Run app from the app store and use your existing QCPR login credentials. Please note that this game has been designed for use on iPads, so the QCPR Run app is only available through an iPad on the Apple App Store.

For those that don’t currently have the QCPR App and manikin combo, or would like to update your training stock, there is still plenty of opportunity to recreate the fan zone experience and joining in the fun!
