How do you achieve high quality simulation?

A recent study showed that 96% of all accredited nursing schools use simulation in some form.
These same schools struggle with:

  • Curriculum integration and limited utilization
  • Faculty preparedness in methodology and debriefing
  • Program support and sustainability
  • Limited quality clinical experiences

Laerdal in collaboration with the National League for Nursing are your consultation partners for education and support. Together we can help you achieve successful high quality simulation.

Pulse Check

Expert trained advisors will conduct a series of on-site meetings, interviews, and surveys with your team to evaluate your institution. A key success factor in building a successful and sustainable simulation program, is tailoring the scope of the implementation to address the teaching, program infrastructure, curriculum, debriefing methods, and clinical environment.

Pulse Check is the time to take the pulse of your simulation program, adhere to business success tools and make a lasting, effective change.

Simulation Education Solutions for Nursing are custom designed to address the needs identified in the NCSBN Guidelines.

October 2015 The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) published National Simulation Guidelines for Prelicensure Nursing Programs based on the knowledge gained from the 2014 NCSBN National Simulation Study in conjunction with industry research and the INACSL Standards of Best Practice: SimulationSM .  “This article presents those guidelines, evidence to support the use of simulation, and information for faculty and program directors on preparation and planning for using simulation successfully in their nursing programs” (Journal of Nursing Regulation, October, 2015).
