Morten Jacobsen named as new Chief Technology Officer at Laerdal Medical. 

  • Strategic appointment to drive the next generation of technologies to develop scalable solutions to help improve competence and confidence in healthcare workers.
  • The new CTO will bring deep expertise in consumer-driven technology, business intelligence, and enterprise architecture. 


NORWAY, Thursday 3rd February 2022 

Laerdal Medical today announced the appointment of Morten Jacobsen as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Jacobsen (pictured) will spearhead the development of technologies and platforms across Laerdal development sites around the world.

Jacobsen will take the lead in Laerdal’s continued development in utilizing new enabling technologies to accelerate the organizations’ ability to reach many more learners and providers with their solutions.

“Technology is at the epicenter of healthcare education, and I look forward to working with our teams to advance our products and solutions to improve patient care and outcomes,” said Morten Jacobsen, Chief Technology Officer at Laerdal Medical.

Jacobsen most recently served as EVP CTO at Sbanken ASA, Norway’s first purely digital bank, where he led their effort to future proof their banking technology and revitalize their model for product & technology development.
