Helping You Succeed in Neonatal Resuscitation Training

The Neonatal Resuscitation Program® (NRP®) is an evidence-based educational program developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American Heart Association to support healthcare professionals who care for newborns at birth. The NRP 9th Edition focuses on improving both individual and team performance during neonatal resuscitation through a blended learning model that combines online knowledge assessment with hands-on, simulation-based practice and structured debriefing. Emphasis is placed not only on clinical decision-making and technical skills, but also on leadership, communication, and teamwork in high-risk, time-critical situations. Since its introduction in 1987, the Neonatal Resuscitation Program has trained more than 4 million healthcare professionals in the United States and around the world.

Below you will find the resources needed to integrate simulation, debriefing, and team development into a comprehensive training solution that helps prepare learners to confidently and effectively manage neonatal emergencies.

  1. Knowledge acquisition
  2. Skills proficiency
  3. Decision making
  4. Simulation in teams
  5. Healthcare Quality Improvement
