Complimentary scenarios to prepare for the COVID-19

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) has created a healthcare crisis that has put a major training burden on hospitals, emergency medical services, and long-term care facilities, among others.

To assist you in preparing your staff and teams, Laerdal Medical and partners have created a set of free scenarios to help you prepare.

Utilizing the team Scenarios in the Emergency Department for Covid-19

The Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has created a healthcare crisis that has put a major training burden on hospitals, emergency medical services, and long-term care facilities, among others.

To assist you in preparing your staff and teams, Laerdal Medical and partners have created a set of free scenarios to help you prepare based on the World Health Organisation recommendations. During this virtual one hour session will focus on how to load, run and utilise the support material for the two scenarios.

Scenario 1: Suspected uncomplicated Novel Covid-19 Infection (ARI)

Helping run simulation events in relation to for Covid-19

During this session an Australian Laerdal Educator will describe resources that may assist you in your Simulation session for Covid-19. This case was designed during the January 2020 COVID-19 outbreak in order to assess and improve team preparedness for safely and effectively caring for a critically ill coronavirus patient from triage to intubation. The Education team will walk you through how you could incorporate this case information into a Theme editor scenario or a SimDesigner session with tips on the props and equipment that could be utilized.
