Utilizing Simulation as Cultural Catalyst

Simulation acts as a catalyst to exploring our cultural interplays, understanding our social dynamics and identifying our values as healthcare providers. By increasing an understanding of the complex nature of psychologically safe and inclusive environments, we can, through simulation and in connection to peer learning, develop capacity to recognize such positive dynamics early on in our peers and students. That means that we, as facilitators, also need to be constantly reflective about our own values and practice. Are we ready for that?
